I have a few questions about the general internal biological structure of some of the characters. This seemed like a more appropriate forum to than the general forum, but in case it isn't, then could a mod please move it? I'd appreciate it.
Now, I'm not even sure if the author of this comic has even given this subject much thought, especially considering how heavily based in physics defying magic it is, but I felt the need to ask anyway for a reason I'll give after the questions.
Do taurs in this universe have two sets of vital organs, or do they only have one set in their taur body and their upper torso is mostly connective tissue? Or do they follow a more chakat-like anatomy, in which they have two stomachs and hearts and two sets of lungs, but the rest of their upper torso is either muscle or connective tissue?
Do taur spines follow a curved or angled design at the intersection of their two torsos? How flexible are their spines at this intersection?
I may have more questions aside from these first two, but before I ask more I want to know if the author has even thought about taur anatomy in their universe in the first place.
The reason I ask these questions is because I can feel a fanfic starting to develop in my mind. I haven't even finished reading the comic (I've only just started reading the Revenge of the Cerv arc), but I freaking love it already and it's as addicting as DMFA or Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Also, I have some random questions about the anatomy of other characters:
In the case of enchanters and other four-armed characters, is one of their lower ribs converted into a second clavicle and set of scapulas to support their second set of arms?
Do all dragons, including Kaige and Kiley, have a dedicated organ for producing their fire breathe? Do they have to eat lots of platinum catalyst like in that Discovery channel documentary?
Or do they have an organ in the roof of their mouth that's a bundle of nerves used to create the spark to ignite the flammable gases they breathe out?
How exactly are minotaurs different from bovine mortals? Are they just generally taller and more muscular, or have greater ability with magic, or something else? Could the pass themselves off as just tall, well-built bovine mortals?
However, if none of this anatomy has even been considered by the authors of the comic, I'll understand. But if it has, I'd like some answers as to what would be seen if you did a rather awkward MRI scan of a taur's lower body, and then a second scan of their upper body.
