Kaige: "Stinky?! Why that loudmouthed, overbearing... mmmph!"
Kiley: "Be nice, even though she isn't, Dear."
Kaige: "Hmph! The old bitty doesn't realize, or doesn't care, that we dragons are very meticulous about cleanliness. You think it feels good to get dirt and grim between our scales? It doesn't. In fact, it's very irritating and uncomfortable. And then there's our wings. If we don't keep them clean, the sensetive membranes can get damaged or infected which will impair our ability to fly."
Kiley: "Admittedly, we dragons can be a bit vain about our looks, but it's for good reason. We keep our horns very polished, keep our talons sharp, and take good care of our scales to keep them vibrant.
Those are a sign of a normal, healthy dragon. You can tell a sick dragon by how they appear. If their scales are damaged or missing or their horns are dull or dirty, usually it means they are unwell or injured and have not been able to keep themselves up."
Kaige: "We don't mind getting dirty every now and then, but we don't like staying that way for very long!"
Hope you don't mind. Kaige got very indignant at being called stinky. XD

Reece: "Don't mind her, Kaige. She woke up on the wrong side of the...well...millennium. I happen to think you both look very cute!" Ally: "Yeah, she's a bother. I know you dragons keep clean... most of the time. You should be proud of the way you look. And I'm only going to say this because Peter isn't around, but Kaige, you have sexy wings. I'm sure it's one of the many things Kiley sees in you."

Kaige: *blushes* Well, you three enchanters are rather cute yourselves.
I've been wanting to ask this for quite a while....
Sheila, what is in your pouch right now? Or do you not use it as an extra pocket?

Sheila: "Right now? Got some CDs and a can of Sprite. Usually tote light stuff in it. Heh, Ally can't stand it when I show off my pouch, it grosses her out. Like right now!" *lifts shirt and pulls the marsupium open*
Ally: *Closes eyes and waves hands defensively* "Ewww gross! Get it away, get it away!"

Sheila, you have such a wicked sense of humor.
Let's see I'll probably regret asking this but...
Calpurnia, we know you don't like Peter that much, but he has to have at least some redeeming qualities in your eyes. What are they?

Calpurnia: "Redeeming qualities? Well, the fact that he's managed to make it this far in life without blowing himself up must count as some sort of positive. And I must admit, he does seem to treat Ally fairly, if you call making my daughter do manual labor okay. I swear, why don't mortals just snap their fingers and make the work be done? We Enchanters do it all the time. What a silly, backwards group..."

...
They can't, Calpurnia. Mortals have zip magic abilities. They have to do it the old fashioned way or build something to do it for them depending on the job, which in itself is a lot of work, but makes the end job a little easier. If mortals could just snap their fingers to make things happen, don't you think they would?
Kaige: They also have no appreciable access to magical items, and even if they did, they wouldn't know how to activate or use them. And that's if they knew they were magical in the first place.
Kiley: Their world is technology and science oriented whereas the other worlds are either totally magical oriented like yours or a mixture of the two. They didn't have magic dropped in their laps. They've had to work and sweat for everything they have.

Calpurnia: "Ewww, work? Disgusting, never touch the stuff myself. Almost makes me feel sorry for mortals. But then I remember that the gods blessed us and granted us this privileged while consigning the mortals to a life of drudgery."

*looks around* Um, Hello Ladies. *waves* I'm Rob and as you can tell, I'm a skunktaur. If its alright with you all of you, I would like to ask all of you some questions. *sits on his haunches*
My first question is: "After seeing your latest comic and your transformation, what are the limits to your transformations? Could you morph yourselves into taurs? (figure to ask that), dragons? or anything else?
My Second question, which is probably geared towards you Mrs Calpurnia, "do your species all have four arms? or are there some that have 6 arms? like a excluded aunt maple or something to that matter? *chuckles lightly*
Thank you ladies for your time

Ally: "As of right now, Sheila, Reece and I have very limited transformational powers, along with most of our other powers as well. As we get older, we'll become more powerful. My mother can become a 'taur, dragon, etc. if she wants to."
Calpurnia: "Yes, I can turn into a 'taur, but why would I want to? I'm already perfect as it is, besides, why would I want to expose my rear end to strangers?
As for arms, I have yet to encounter an Enchanter who is naturally six-armed, but I suppose it could happen."

Among us mundanes, the popular conception of magick has it that spellcasting involves incantations, gestures, specific ingredients, or some combination thereof. But from what we've seen of your (Enchanters') wonder-working, you guys just kind of do stuff. Do you ever bother with gestures and so on, and if so, under what conditions?

Sheila: "It looks easy what we do, but trust me, it takes some effort. The simpler spells can be conjured simply by thinking about them. It doesn't look like we have to do anything too physical, but on the inside we have to make a conscious effort and concentrate on them. Since we're magical beings, we're just concentrating on where to focus our energy. You know the expression "flex your brain muscle?" Well, to us it feels like we're actually doing something like that."
Reece: "For the larger, more complex spells, it takes more of an effort to get them done. Teleportation, for instance, takes a few moments to charge up, so we can't really be moving around too much while doing it. We do have to sort of lift our arms up at the moment we jump from one area to another, so I guess that's one gesture."
Ally: Some of the larger spells require an incantation, but that's fine with me because it means you have to make a commitment to getting it done. That way, you don't just accidentally conjure up something powerful or potentially dangerous. I myself like to use my hands a lot when making a big spell, but I think it's more psychosomatic than anything. It just helps for me to think I'm conducting some sort of invisible orchestra in my head as I manipulate magical properties."
Sheila: "I do something similar, but I put all my hands forward like I'm pushing something. That's my way of getting some of my more powerful magic spells to work, especially if I'm firing some sort of projectile attack."
Reece "I do sort of push gesture too, but to the sides instead of straight in front of me. It's like mentally I'm clearing a path between myself and what I'm concentrating on. I do use Ally's orchestra conductor gesture when using telekinesis spells, like the time I was cleaning my house with all the different cleaning tools at once.
There are some spells that require certain ingredients to be present, so we do have to collect them from time to time. There are after all limits to our abilities, and we can't just do anything we want whenever we want. Even the most powerful Enchanter couldn't, say, destroy a planet through shear willpower."

Since you gals have an extra pair of arms, what differences are there in your bone and muscle structures to support them?
And when you hide them, are they just invisible with a little spell to make you look like a normal mortal or do they actually disappear from you?

Ally: "Um, anatomy isn't a specialty of mine, sorry."
Sheila: "There's nothing too abnormal about our body structure from that of mortals. I suppose our ribs are adjusted to allow for the arms."
Reece: "As for what happens to our arms, we create sort of pocket dimensions to hold them while we're in mortal form. It wouldn't do to just turn them invisible for a number of reasons, like for instance if our husbands decided to hug us and ended up wondering what their hands were running into."

Here's a good one. Diets.
Since you all are cute fluffy sentient anthro versions of cute fluffy nonsentient animals, do you share the same diet (herbivore, carnivore, omnivore) as your non-anthro counterparts? Or is everyone pretty much omnivore as default?
