Looks like Throggy isn't as stupid as ogres are supposed to be. That "You were saying?" remark is *not* a stoopid thing to say, and batting away the fireball is either completely moronic, or (more likely, since it *worked*), an indication that Throggy knows the capabilities of his equipment, which is *not at all* moronic...
Hmmm... is Throggy a typical ogre, as far as brainpower is concerned? I hope not, because given the breed's physical advantages, it would be rather hard on the rest of their world if they also had any kind of *intellectual* advantage. Alternately, maybe *every* species on Throggy's home plane is d**ned smart, in which case the previous comment need not apply...

I would say that Throg is not a true idiot, but he does underestimate his opponents. He's a brute and he's dangerous, but I'd say the fact that he's more or less single-task oriented puts him at a disadvantage. And as you'll see, he can be outsmarted, almost too easily.  |

Such a naughty lizzle! Well okay gang, that marks the end of our first story line. Hope you enjoyed it and got a little taste of what was to offer. I know there's a lot of questions left unanswered. Who were those elves dragging Throg away? Why do the girls take it upon themselves to fight monsters when it's not their job? How did a Richard Simmons reference slip past our censors? Why doesn't Peter wear underwear? What is the meaning of life? The answers to some of these questions will be addressed in future installments.  I know some of the rules of this universe are yet to be established, but I really didn't want to waste time with an "intro" arc that introduces everyone and their jobs, the mission statement of the comic, etc. I just wanted to roll right into it. Plus, it's more fun to discover these things as time goes on. We'll be taking a week hiatus after this arc and will be back Oct. 21. Sorry, but some RL issues have gotten in the way. But that's a topic for another thread. Let us know what you think about the story so far. |
