Hey everyone! Feel free to discuss what are your favorite online comics and why. To start us off: Jack: www.pholph.com/David Hopkin's stories are tragic, funny, disturbing, reasurring and twisted as hell. The setting, a post-human Earth popularity by furries that seem to be reliving our past successes and mistakes, is endlessly interesting to follow. Plus the fact that this is a Bangsian fantasy, so the main character is the grim reaper and deals with his interactions with angels, the d**ned and his fellow demons. At times the stories can be tasteless. But at others, there's a lot of tragedy and human emotion to be mined from the setting. Plus Hopkins has created a metaphysical setting that shows that the beings that have been left in charge of the universe don't always know exactly what they're doing. I have been a loyal reader for five years, and will continue to do so. I say, recommended, as long as you have a strong stomach.

www.concessioncomic.com/A comic about some people who work in a movie theater. Good for laughs, and has a few storylines going on in there... WARNING: If you are in any way, shape, or form offended by homosexuality, do not check it out. Also, the comic which lead me to find the aforementioned Jack comic. Next up? furthiahigh.concessioncomic.com/About a human kid who goes to a school full of... wait for it... WAIT FOR IT... Furs. Hilarity ensues as many a pun, stereotype, and some third thing i didn't write here ensue. Finally, san.pengguo.com/A romance of the three kingdoms comic. It pokes fun at the general story of ROT3K, and the Sanguo era as a whole. Funny if you've played any Dynasty Warriors, or Read ROT3K.

Accidental Centaurs: accidentalcentaurs.com/Unfortunately, the creator has just quit the comic. Which is a shame, but that's life. The story concerned Alex and Samantha, to human scientists from our time who were zapped to another universe and transformed into centaurs. They have to fulfill an ancient prophecy with the help of a wisecracking genie Lenny. Good times. Shame it's ending, but at 6 1/2 years, it had a good run by webcomic standards.

Housepets! It's a cute comic based around the lives of pets if they were more anthromorphic and could talk and stuff. I found it recently and fell in love with the characters and art style.

Looks like a neat comic, Kaotix. www.thewotch.com/I really enjoy The Wotch. It's a fun comic about a girl who gets magic powers and has to deal with monsters and high school. It's very entertaining, has lots of interesting villains and side characters, and every now and then, someone is transformed into a centaur? How come? Well... why not?

endofthingscomic.com/A big thumbs up in recommending Suburban Letdown's comic, "The End of Things." He shoots for a more realistic slice-of-life approach, covering the life of a college student and his eccentric buddies. It's a nice bittersweet story, including paintball fights that traverse college campuses, awkward encounters with parents and... bars of soap. Filled with laughs, plus some drama as well. Not laugh out loud hilarious (this is by design, not writer inadequacy), but consistently entertaining.

Spinnerette: www.krakowstudios.com/spinnerette/A fun story about a poor college grad student who's DNA is spliced with that of a spider and becomes a six-armed superhero. Three guesses what attracted me to this comic. That's right! The discussion of sociological effects of how the media depicts science in a negative way with scare tactics and sensationalism! How'd you guess!

The Whiteboard, a vaguely paintball comic by "Doc" Nickel. I found this comic a few years ago and have enjoyed it immensely. It's about Doc Nickel, a polar bear who is addicted to Mountain Dew, paintball, Machining, and finding new ways to (accidentally) blow up his paintball shop and other things. His friends and customers are all quirky in one way or another and are sure to make you laugh with their hijinks.

Traces of Chaos is done by a good friend of mine and I love her work. It's a Sci-fi fantasy comic dealing with space, aliens, and a young woman caught up in the middle. The artist is an excellent storyteller and her pages are absolutely beautiful. Synopsis: Siendes has a problem. She has essential intel about a planned invasion of Earth - and she's stranded on the remote planet Trarran. It's curious natives are friendly but far from developing spaceflight.... Beginning of ComicYou must read. I compell you. It updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I recently discovered Hanna is Not a Boy's Name. In a nutshell, the story is told by a nameless nonchalant zombie and his work with his new friend, Hanna, an amateur paranormal investigator. The art is very good, consistent, in full-color, and the composition of panels is appealing to the eye. The story is also impressive and well thought out.
