Or at least above average. Well, in this day and age, is above average more than we should expect for something good? I take that as such. In fact, I'll take is as a sign that I have conquered the universe all within it.
I'm not going suffering from insanity, mind you. I enjoy every second of it.
In any case, we got a good indepth review from a fellow SmackJeeves patron recently. So special thanks to Gabriel'sThoughts for taking the time to analyze the comic.

Design and Presentation
“At Arms Length” is a slice of life comic with furry characters that consist of …freakishly mutated anthropomorphic four armed bunny rabbits, foxes, and kangaroos. I kid you not. This bizarre and macabre cabaret of mutants definitely adds bonus points for originality; it also adds a ring of the ironic to the “At arm’s length” title. While it is a black and white comic the star field background and buttons are soothing to the eye. The line work is very clean and the characters occasionally, and beautifully, escape their little boxes.
9/10…needs some color, with color the comic’s presentation would be perfect.
Story:
The story is a slice of life drama about a Maverick team of supernatural, well proportioned, hotties as they juggle their secret double lives. Not an altogether original concept, so much as the blending of mismatched concepts to make something original. It has a few quirky and incredibly lame jokes that add a little charm to bouts against evil villains…typical of batman or dead pool. If you like a smart mouth, then you might enjoy the humor of this one.
7/10
Characters:
A playboy bunny house wife that dresses as a street performer, a gothic Kangaroo-horse thing with more piercings than a pin cushion, and a cutsy, perky, hyperactive fox girl….no I think the author covered every furry and anime fetish stereotype… they’re definitely unusual, if not original…and the author gets bonus points for the concept design of four armed freaks…and when I say freaks I mean it in the nicest way.
7/10
Originality:
The story is definitely unique, unusual, fascinating, and interesting. However, it follows the “magical girl” and “girl power” formulas and the group dynamics are vaguely reminiscent of the teenage mutant ninja turtles… the smart one, the cute/novelty/ childlike one, the depressed antisocial one…etc.
5/10
