Kaotix was kind enough to point out that there are Spam ads popping up in the Author's comment section of every comic. If you are not logged into SmackJeeves (ie, you don't have an account) they are visible, but if you are logged in, they are not. Well, apparently this isn't some malicious ad software that's infected my page... the SJ web administrators have put this policy into affect for advertising revenue. www.smackjeeves.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5In case you can't read that link, the admin says: We're trying a new type of advertising right now because Project Wonderful hasn't been performing at the same rate that the old ads were. The products being advertised are legitimate and are from legitimate businesses. Look, obviously they own the site that hosts that comic, but I can't say I agree with the location of this ad. Placing it in the author's comment section is misleading, because it suggests Brooke or I am plugging some product. We are not, nor are we receiving any money for hosting this on our pages. Just wanted to let you all know. Unless the site owner changes their minds, it looks like it's going to stay there.
